Day 2 of our Youth Turkey Hunt was almost a carbon copy of day 1...we hit the blind early and had lots of gobbling action from the roost. Abby Shirley, from Owego, was ready to smoke herself a longbeard...but the thunderchicken had different plans. After gobbling for a half hour less than 15 yards behind the blind, the bird went silent.
Many thanks to our youth hunters, their parents and our sponsors for another successful youth turkey season! A special thanks to Ray Kalwara at the Pheasant Preserve for letting us roam his property!! We hope that you all become turkey hunting addicts!!

We apologize for the lack of updates...but we are headlong in NY Spring Turkey Season!!!
The RO Crew has been hearing and seeing some birds, but they are kicking our butts right now!! The tally is RO-1 and Turkeys-5....

It's been a crazy turkey season!! Birds gobble their heads off on the roost, then get real quiet after flydown...We've had several close calls and a few missed opportunities...but we're still after them!!!
